How To Specify Kwik-File's 4-Post Shelving

Shelves

Shelves are formed of 22ga. cold rolled steel with flanges on four sides. Front and back flanges are turned in to form a .75" channel. Shelves are slotted on 3" centers for adjustable file support dividers. Shelves are supported by 11ga. steel shelf supports running the full width of the shelf. Shelf reinforcements are provided and run the depth of shelves over 24" deep. 6" high file supports dividers can be provided. Removable center stops and backstops are provided for use with the file supports dividers. Dust covers canopy tops are available for all shelving sections.

Uprights

Open "T" uprights consist of two 1.5" wide 18ga. cold rolled steel posts rolled into a "T" formation with taper-lock slots on the inner face at 1.5" on center. There are no holes on any exposed face. There are three 3" 18ga. stringers welded between posts to form an upright. Closed "T" uprights consist of a 20ga. steel panel welded between posts to form uprights. Closed "L" uprights consist of a seamless 20ga. panel formed around and welded to and "L" 18ga. slotted post. Uprights provide a seamless end appearance for shelving without additional end panel.
